The development of space-time data analysis methods is an active research domain in the field of geographic information science (GIS). At the same time, the coupled space-time attributes of socioeconomic phenomena are difficult to be represented and examined. Both GIS and human geography are faced with the challenges of dealing with the temporal dynamics of geographic patterns and spatial dynamics of socioeconomic process across scales and dimensions. This talk will illustrate a series of concept design, methods, and implementations carried out by the speaker and his collaborators.

报告人介绍：

美国博林格林大学区域发展中心（美国商务部经济发展局高校中心）空间经济分析研究室主任，地球、环境与社会学院的研究生导师和美国国家科学基金评审员。美国地理学会区域发展与规划委员会发展中国家主席，美国地理学会亚洲委员会东亚主席以及美国地理学会中国委员会理事。主要从事空间计量经济学/时间地理信息系统/开源软件的研究。博士论文时空动态对比获得美国国家科学基金博士研究资助奖。美国高校经济发展学会研究分析奖2011年得主（第一名）与美国地理学会区域发展和规划杰出青年学者奖2012年得主。著名开源时空分析软件STARS和Pysal的开发者之一。合作主编5本国际学术杂志专辑（包括SCI和SSCI杂志）。发表22篇英文期刊论文和著作章节以及9篇英文书评。Stochastic Environmental Research & Risk Assessment (SCI杂志)的副主编，同时是International Journal of Applied Geospatial Research, Journal of Ecosystem & Ecography和Journal of Earth Science & Climatic Change的编委和20本国际学术杂志的审稿人。
